Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. Introduction
AIBE Pass ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website aibepass.in and the Android application AIBE Pass (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is designed to help law graduates in India prepare for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE), which is conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our Service, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.
AIBE Pass is an independent preparation platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to the Bar Council of India.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account information — when you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
Usage data — we record which MCQs you attempt, your answers, your scores on mock tests, and which bare act sections you have read. This data is used exclusively to display your progress within the app.
Device information — we collect your device type, Android version, and a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to support push notification delivery (when you grant permission).
Payment information — payments are processed by Razorpay or Paytm. We receive a confirmation of payment status and a transaction reference number. We do not store your card number, UPI PIN, bank account details, or any other payment credentials on our servers.
Information we do not collect
- Your physical location or GPS coordinates
- Your phone contacts or call logs
- Photos, camera, or microphone data
- Biometric information
- Any information from users under 18 years of age
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and provide access to the Service
- Display your MCQ scores, reading progress, and subject-wise analytics within the app
- Process your payment and activate your Pro subscription
- Send you exam-related reminders and app update notifications — only if you have granted notification permission
- Diagnose and fix technical errors using anonymised error reports
- Improve the content and features of the Service based on aggregate usage patterns
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not display third-party advertisements.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers located in India. We implement industry-standard technical measures to protect your information, including:
- Passwords hashed using bcrypt — irreversible, salted hashing
- API communication over HTTPS / TLS 1.2 or higher
- Database access restricted to authorised application processes only
- Regular server-level security updates
Payment transactions are handled entirely by Razorpay and Paytm, both of which are PCI-DSS compliant. Payment credentials never reach our servers.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each service has its own privacy policy governing the data they receive:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Razorpay | Payment processing | razorpay.com/privacy |
| Paytm | Payment processing | paytm.com/about-us/privacy |
| PostHog | Usage analytics (aggregate, anonymised) | posthog.com/privacy |
| Sentry | Error tracking and crash reporting | sentry.io/privacy |
| Firebase (Google) | Push notifications (FCM) | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
PostHog analytics events are linked to an anonymous user identifier and do not include MCQ content, bare act text, or payment details. Sentry error reports include device type and anonymised stack traces only.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data and study progress for as long as your account remains active. If you have not logged in for 24 months, we may delete your account data after providing 30 days' notice by email.
To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email support@aibepass.in from your registered email address. We will process the request within 14 business days and confirm by email.
Payment transaction records are retained for 7 years as required under the Companies Act, 2013 and applicable Indian accounting law. These records cannot be deleted on request.
7. Children's Privacy
The AIBE is a professional licensing examination open only to persons who have completed a law degree, which requires a minimum age of approximately 21 years. Our Service is intended exclusively for such individuals.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a person under 18, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us at support@aibepass.in.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- Access — view your account details and study progress via the Profile screen in the app at any time
- Correction — update your name or email by contacting support@aibepass.in
- Deletion — request full account deletion as described in Section 6

We will respond to all data rights requests within 14 business days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For changes that significantly affect how we use your personal data, we will notify you through a prominent notice within the app before the changes take effect.
For minor clarifications or corrections, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
